Petals & Metals with Mara Runne

Grab a friend and join us for a cocktail and craft happy hour! Mara Runne owner of Mom’s Who Make Shit! is going to walk you through how to create a set of Resin Flower earrings from start to finish using a large variety of colorful florals to choose from. They make a gorgeous gift, or wear them out to dinner when you finish your workshop! Attendees will have an option to add on a necklace or bracelet for an additional fee at the event.

Make a Mug with Millie!

Millie of Miss Mille Ceramics is going to take you through the process of making your very own ceramic mug! Once finished you'll customize your mug and Millie will finish the process with a professional glaze. Join us for this two hour workshop and try your hand at ceramics.

Mugs will take approximately 2 weeks to dry. You will have the option to pick up your project once finished or have it mailed for a fee!

Local Landscape Painting with Maggie!

Maggie Heffernan is a local artist known for her beautiful landscape paintings of the Eastern Shore. In this class you’ll have a step-by-step guide to painting a local landscape scene.

Using acrylic paints and handmade paper, Maggie will teach students how to prime a paper, use certain brushstrokes, mix colors and ultimately, paint a beautiful local landscape that you will want to hang on your wall as soon as you get home!

Decoupage Oyster Shells with Kim Brown

Thursday, May 30!

Join local artist Kim Brown for a two-hour workshop where you will learn how to decoupage oyster shells using your choice of design from a paper napkin. Decoupage is the art of gluing a paper design to a surface to create the impression of something that was painted on. 

In this workshop, you will decoupage two oyster shells, edge them with gold leaf paint, and add a loop of wooden beads to each one. The finished products can be used as ornaments, wine bottle charms, napkin rings, tabletop decorations, or any other way your inspiration suggests! Keep one and gift one if you wish!

Watercolor Basics- Paint the Moon Phases

Learn watercolor painting basics with Erin Hellmann! Erin has a degree in art education and after teaching in a classroom setting for a few years she transitioned to a full time artist. After learning techniques for the basics of watercolor painting, Erin will walk you through a step by step process of creating a phases of the moon art piece. Students will receive a wooden magnetic hanger to hang their finished painting with!

Coil Planters with Millie!

Thursday, May 16th!

Make a Mug With Millie is taking a new spin! In this workshop students will learn the technique of coil building to create their very own planter!

Join Millie as she teaches you the basics of ceramic pottery while you create your own unique pot just in time for Spring! Students will have a few color glazes to choose from and Millie will take the planters back to her studio to professionally glaze and fire.

Pots will be ready in about 3 weeks for pick up!

We empower our DAC Artists to deliver innovative modern workshops. We knew when we built this beautiful space we wanted to make it a home for our DAC Artist’s to lead their own workshops to create new revenue steams for themselves.

We feature Artist Led Workshops on Thursdays. We work with our Artists to develop workshops that you can show up to and take home your masterpiece.

We are continuously building our Workshop offerings so look forward to macrame, candle making, and so much more coming soon!

Wanna book your own private workshop?

We empower our Artists to lead as many workshops as they like. Based on the needs of your special party, our Artists are ready to make your event special.

  • We price this based on the amount of people in your party. Larger groups will start at $55 per person and smaller groups will be priced higher for the VIP experience.

  • We offer drink packages for large groups.

  • Yes! We will communicate with your Artist and fulfill special requests. We work with our Artists to make your dreams come true.

  • Yes, there is a private party fee based on the number of people in your party. We consider the date and time of your party and how it works with our regular Acrylic Pouring hours.
